The City of Lorain, Lorain is PRO Baseball, and Sacred Heart Chapel are teaming up with the Lorain County Ironmen to bring you the Sacred Heart Day at the Pipe Yard with Sammy DeLeon y su Orquesta on Sunday, August 1, 2010. Sammy DeLeon’s Orchestra breathes brassy, rhythmic fire into every club, venue, and concert they perform. Nothing compares with seeing and hearing this impressive collection of musicians perform live in a full-blown concert setting. Traditional salsa rhythms blend with a progressive style that lends to a multi-cultural audience, appealing to fans of salsa, merengue, and Latin jazz.

The concert will begin immediately after the 2:05 pm game between the Slippery Rock Sliders and our own Lorain County Ironmen. Both teams are members of the Prospect League – a collegiate wood bat league known for producing over 150 pro players to Major League Baseball. Greats such as Ryan Howard, Mike Schmidt, and Kirby Puckett started their careers here!

Please join us for this dazzling event at our newly renovated stadium. The Pipe Yard now offers a new food concession center along with a 2-tier (20’ x 80’) party deck in the middle of the action.
