Swing City Big Band
This local 18-piece Big Band performs memorable selections from the Great American Songbook. Hear your favorites from the big bands of Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey, Duke Ellington and Count Basie. And enjoy classics sung by such legendary performers as Frank Sinatra, Bobby Darin, Ella Fitzgerald, Peggy Lee, and many more. Show times are Saturday, January 30, 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, January 31, 3 p.m.

Ten Cents A Dance: A Romance in the Lorain County Dance Halls Bring your sweetheart and relive the romance that filled tha dance halls of Lorain Country in the 1940s, 50s, and 60s. In the tradition of Blooms of Steel and Freedom's Light, Ten Cents a Dance is a commissioned play by Lorain County Metroparks and TrueNorth Cultural Arts and is written and directed by Jacqi Loewy. Follow two couples as they meet and fall in love at the dance hall.
Stories from couples who met at Avon Isles, Crystal Beach, Lorain Moose Lodge "Coliseum" and other area dance halls were incorporated into the play. Audience members can enjoy the classic music from the time period and if they feel inclined, can join in at the dance hall with the romantic leading couples.
Whether you watch the play, or join in the dancing, this experience will leave your feeling uplifted and renew you faith in the human spirit. Show dates are February 4-21, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday at 3 p.m.

TrueNorth Winter Symphony Concert
Enjoy the ABCs of Symphonic Music featuring works from Leroy Anderson, J.S Bach, Georges Bizet, and Aaron Copeland. Highlights include a Bach Double Concerto performed by James & Cassandra Clouser, and a new composition by Bill Rayer: In Memoriam: The Challenger. Concert dates are Friday, February 26 and Saturday, February 27, both at 7:30 p.m.
