We are planning a big event, “Light Up Lorain”, on November 28, 2009. Our plans are to turn on all of the Christmas lights at 5:00 PM at Veterans Park and Lakeview Park with possibly some music done by the local high school bands or choirs. We would then offer to everyone all kinds of different activities in downtown. We have rented a 10 seat horse drawn carriage and a 23 seat trackless train, both of which will ride up and down Broadway on that evening to see the window decorations. The trolley will take passengers from Veterans Park to Lakeview Park. Mrs. Claus’ Kitchen will open at that time in a now vacant store on Broadway. At 8:30 PM, we will encourage everyone to return to Veterans Park for a fireworks show.
